Leakage Compensation Motor Retrofit for Sealed Self-cooling Gas Zone Motors
Leakage compensation transformation fits fully enclosed self-fan cooling motors (IP44/IP54 air/water cooled) in flammable gas areas. Dry clean air or inert protective gas fills the motor cavity pre-start to reach a minimum 50Pa internal pressure above ambient. Tiny gas replenishment offsets joint leakage to sustain positive pressure and block external explosive gas ingress. The system features pre-purge, timed purge, leakage compensation and interlock shutdown modes with PLC signal output.
